The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, visited Minister of Defense Michel Mansi and the army leadership in Yarzeh, stressing that “the army is a national institution that serves the interest of Lebanon and the Lebanese, and the campaigns it and its commander were subjected to will not leave any trace in its performance.” He pointed out that "any shaking of the army means a threat to the entire nation, and I will stand as an impenetrable barrier when this institution and those who lead it are attacked." He added: "Let your achievements speak for you, and what is happening is a cloud that will pass. The army is a symbol of honor and sacrifice and a source of loyalty for all of Lebanon." For his part, Defense Minister General Mansi thanked President Aoun for the visit, while the Army Commander stressed “standing against any internal strife.”
